Edinburgh solidarity with May 15th

More than 300 Spanish, Greek and Scottish people gathered outside St. Giles' Cathedral in Edinburgh’s High Street to show solidarity with the May 15th movement. Demanding “real democracy now” they held placards and banners stating: “They don’t represent us”.

The proposal for People’s Assemblies was warmly welcomed by many of the protestors including Jose who told AWTW: “We can’t rely on the existing parties for democracy – they are all agreed to obey the corporations.” Marte said: “There is an emerging state of revolution across the world, something that was unthinkable just a few months ago. Uniting people across the world can happen.”
